Project Design Lead. Brand development and asset roll out.
The “Heart of Mission” is a podcast about God’s amazing global mission and started in 2022 in place of a conference that couldn’t take place due to the pandemic. This podcast has grown exponentially since it began in 2022, with two season rolling out each year and many listeners each month.
The branding was based on the CMS South Australia with Northern Territory (SANT) Summer Conference in 2022. Each episode has Mark Peterson interviewing a missionary and is edited by a nationwide team.
My role is to complete the first pass edit of the podcast audio in Descript and then complete the asset roll out for the remainder of the season.

The original design was based off the Summer Conference hosted by CMS SANT (South Australia and Northern Territory branch).
A refresh of the branding was requested because a podcast was not intended with the original branding.
The brief was to design an eye catching cover that aligns to the CMS style guide.

The feedback received was that it should include another colour that could help align the design to the CMS style guide, and to try another piece of imagery that could be easier to associate the podcast with.
Concept 1 was chosen as the paper plane was used to signify global mission. The contrasting colours were picked from the style guide because they stand out amongst a library filled with podcasts.
The new branding has been in use since the end of 2025.
